Amy was born in Steven Point, Wisconsin, and learned the values of resilience, trustworthiness, hard work, and helping others from her parents. She graduated from Oregon High School in Oregon, Wisconsin, and then attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
While in college, she interned at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and later worked for them for 17 years, working her way up to Area Manager and then transitioning in sales in the Commercial Truck Division. Afterward, she worked as a District Manager for Public Storage for about five years in Milwaukee. However, she decided to make a 180-degree career change and got her insurance license in Property and casualty and Life and health.
Her insurance career started at Allstate Insurance as a sales producer, where she worked for 2.5 years. Amy then went on to work for an independent scratch agency for about nine months before opening her agency, Magnolia Insurance Group, in June of 2023.
Amy currently resides in West Bend, Wisconsin with her husband, Hugo, who works as an installer for Grand Appliance. She has a daughter, Alayna, from her first marriage who is a sophomore at UW Green Bay, studying for athletic training and nutrition/dietetics. She and Hugo have two children together: Dominick, who is 12 years old and passionate about trumpet and video games, and Bella, who is 9 years old and has a love for the piano and basketball. In her free time, Amy enjoys music, gardening, and crafting.
